January 2013
Happy 2013 everyone!!!!! We had a great 2012 fall and holiday season - Thanks
to all of our students the horses have new halters, new pads, and new saddle
blankets - Godiva even got a new fancy bridle (thank you Linda and Sidney!). I
must say they all look quite fancy in their new gear! We are grateful to have
such wonderful students, thank you, thank you (from us and the
horses!)!
Now if we could only get it to STOP raining! :) We're trying our best to get everyone in around the wet days, please let us know if you are still owed a makeup from one of our rain days.

We have added another 2 haflingers to our program -Dreamer and Mariah. They are both on loan to us by our good friend Karen (Crystal's mom) and we are excited to add them to our program. Karen was nice enough to take Tilly on as a foster at her property while her horses are with us - Tilly is living with a massive Dutch Warmblood (much bigger/taller than Godiva) named Patrick and apparently has him eating from the palm of her hooves. She gets to boss him around all day, interact with pigs and dogs and best of all - live with a family. She has adjusted well to the move and we are happy Karen was willing to take her on...
Sina has left us to join our sister program over at Hoofs and Woofs. I was especially sad to see her go but, as most of you already know, her workload with us was too much for her physically. Her work will be less physically demanding and since we volunteer up there we'll still get to see her. One of our students has already been up there to ride her - she said she's settling in well and most importantly, seems happy... Hoofs and Woofs does offer public trail rides and lessons (in Valley Center), please visit http://www.hwriding.com/riding_lessons_contact_us.html for more information.
Camps/Trial lessons:
We will be having spring camps anytime the kids are out of school, please email us at horseboundsandiego@gmail.com to set up a camp session or to schedule a trial lesson with us.
Thanks and see ya at the ranch!
Katie (and Amy!)
